Wildlife and Landscape Artist - Animal Potraits
Caroline has always been a passionate lover of the British countryside, its wildlife and landscapes. Her paintings reveal this deep love and understanding of the natural world. Caroline lived and worked for many years in Hampshire, where she had several successful exhibitions, selling to private buyers both in the UK and abroad.
Since moving to Dorset in 2021, Caroline has continued to be fascinated by the beauty of the Natural World surrounding her home village.
Her paintings are inspired by her constant exploration and observation of the landscape and its wildlife. Caroline's vibrant watercolours show a particular passion for birds, with a talent for depicting them in their natural habitats, these being beautifully observed. Her eye for detail is astonishing.
The creative process often begins with a fleeting encounter with some wild creature, later given form in her sketch book using a combination of pencil drawings, photos and stored mental images. Some ideas are then further developed into more detailed paintings.
Caroline is a life - long lover of horses, dogs and indeed all animals. For many years she owned and rode horses. enjoying several long partnerships with these beautiful creatures.
